Swimming teams honored for academic work

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Catholic University men’s and women’s swimming teams were recently named to the 2010 College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team.  The CSCAA selects and honors teams as Scholar All American Teams twice a year, once after each semester.  To earn CSCAA Scholar All-American honors, a swimming team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 for the semester.

The CUA men are one of more than 70 Division III programs nationwide to receive CSCAA Scholar All-America team honors, while the CUA women are one of more than 100 programs on the list.  The men posted a 3.10 team GPA during the 2010 spring semester and the women registered a 3.26 grade point average.
