Nassib Earns Athlete of the Week Honors
Sophomore leads CUA to 4-1 record for the week

WASHINGTON - Sophomore outside hitter Carey Anne Nassib (West Chester, Pa./Villa Maria) has been named the Landmark Conference volleyball Athlete of the Week after an outstanding seven-day run.  The Catholic University of America volleyball team went 4-1 over the past week including three wins at the Susquehanna Invitational.  For the season the squad is 20-12 and as clinched the second seed in the conference tournament.

Nassib averaged 5.24 kills and 5.59 digs per game on the week, and she reached double figures in kills in all five matches. She had double-doubles in kills and digs in four of the five contests. Her top effort came in a five-game win over Richard Stockton in which she pounded out 29 kills and added 33 digs. She also had 22 kills in a three-game win over Marymount earlier in the week.

The Cardinals will host Gallaudet on Tuesday for Senior Night, there will be a short ceremony preceding the 7 p.m. start.
