Cardinals selected second in Landmark Conference preseason poll
WASHINGTON – The CUA women’s basketball team has
been selected second in this year’s Landmark Conference
preseason poll, announced on Thursday. The Cardinals earned
75 points in the poll following a year in which they won their most
games since 2005-06 with 19.

first-ever spot in the Landmark Conference Tournament, while
advancing to the ECAC championship for the first time.
Reigning champion Juniata was chosen atop the preseason poll with
92 points, followed by CUA (75), Scranton (72) and Moravian
(62).
Rounding out the poll were Susquehanna (45), Drew (36), Goucher
(24) and Merchant Marine Academy (15).
CUA begins its 2011-12 season on Tuesday, November 15 when the
Cardinals host Washington College inside the DuFour Center.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
