Weather forces cancellation of Tuesday's CUA-Maryland game
WASHINGTON – Due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy, Tuesday's exhibition game between CUA and Maryland has been cancelled. The teams were scheduled to play at the Comcast Center, home of the Terrapins, but the weather had other ideas.
CUA is the defending Landmark Conference champion and returns nearly its entire team from a season ago. Three Cardinals earned All-Conference honors, including Jill Woerner, Katarina Owunna and Emily Grabiak, and CUA played in its first NCAA Tournament.
The Cardinals will remain at work on the practice floor with their eye towards Friday, November 16 when they travel to face Randolph-Macon in the regular season opener. Start time is set for 6 p.m.
