Regional rankings announced, No. 13 Cardinals sit second in Atlantic
WASHINGTON – The NCAA released its initial regional rankings on Wednesday, and No. 13 CUA is ranked second in the Atlantic. The Cardinals are 21-1 overall and 10-1 in the Landmark Conference after defeating Susquehanna 54-53 on Wednesday evening. CUA is now 10-0 at home and has won 15 straight inside the DuFour Center.
The Cardinals have earned 17 of their 21 wins within the region, including ranked regional foes Marymount, William Patterson and York.
Regional ranking is one of the criteria used for selection and seeding purposes for the NCAA Tournament. For more information on the regional rankings, click here.
The Cardinals are nationally ranked in two polls, checking in at No. 13 in the D3Hoops.com poll, and the USA Today Coaches poll.
CUA will play two of its final three games at home, including a February 16 showdown vs. Moravian on Senior Day. The Cardinals and Greyhounds are currently tied for first in the Landmark Conference.
CUA heads to Pennsylvania on Saturday to face Scranton at 5 p.m.
