Catholic Women’s Basketball Boast USA Today Sports Coaches Poll Ranking

WASHINGTON – As the Catholic University women's basketball team kicks off the 2013-14 season with an exhibition game at Maryland on Tuesday at 7 p.m., the Terps will not be the only nationally ranked team on the hardwood.

The USA Today Sports Coaches' Poll ranks the Catholic University of America at No. 23 on the Top 25 preseason poll on Tuesday, Oct. 29.

CUA finished the 2012-13 season ranked No. 11 in the nation with a final record of 27-2 and the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament game victory  to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Cards last met their exhibition opponent on Nov. 11, 2009, the Terps defeated CUA 101-43.

The University of Maryland is ranked No. 5 in the Division I USA Today Sports Coaches' Poll (preseason).
