CUA Hoops: Catholic v. Drew

WASHINGTON – The Catholic women's basketball team welcomes the Drew Rangers on Saturday for the official home opener and the first Landmark Conference game of the season.

THE LAST TIME THEY MET (02/02/2013): The Birds defeated the Rangers 66-48 marking the second win over Drew of the 2012-13 season … Three student-athletes in Cardinal red and black notched double-digit scoring outings with Emily Grabiak controlling the offense with 11 assists accompanied by a team-high six assists … Returners Courtney Stephens and Breana Wilson led the offense and defensive effort with nine points from Stephens and eight rebounds from Wilson.

THE SERIES: The Cardinals lead the series 8-4 and hold a 4-2 record in Washington, D.C., and CUA has won the last six meetings.
