Four Lady Cardinals Notch Double-Figures in 62-55 Win Over Goucher

WASHINGTON – Melissa Errico, Michelle Desantis, Josephine Migash and Emily Grabiak recorded double-figure outings in the Cardinals 62-55 win over the Gophers of Goucher on Wednesday in Towson, Md.

Errico led the Cards with 15 points accompanied by 10 rebounds for a double-double, as Grabiak pulled a team-high 11 rebounds along with her 11 points for the team's second double-double and her ninth of the season.  Desantis and Migash recorded 13 points apiece and Grabiak supplemented her double-double with a Cardinal-high four assists and four steals.

Goucher took stout three-point lead in the opening minutes, which Grabiak snapped and ignited Catholic's 18-10 run to reach a first-half nine-point margin lead.

GC's Monique Welch layup with under a minute left brought the CUA lead to seven into the halftime intermission.

Catholic continued to conquer Goucher in the second half, reaching a night-high 16-point margin lead on a pair from Melissa Errico at the charity stripe.  CUA sustained its dominance to secure a 62-55 Landmark Conference win despite the two conference foes scoring 36 points apiece in the second half.

Tonight's victory retains Catholic's second place standing, as the Cards concluded the regular season at Moravian on Saturday, Feb. 22.
