WASHINGTON – Melissa Errico was named the Landmark Conference Player of the Week for her double-double performance during an 81-72 win over Drew in the team's first conference game of the year.
The freshman notched her first double-double on career-highs. She came off the bench to score 23 points with 12 rebounds in 22 minutes of play. Errico's presence in the post was critical as the Cardinals held a +18 rebound margin and limited the Rangers to just seven offensive boards for the game. Errico shot 50% from the floor.
On the season, the Harrington Park, N.J. native is averaging 11.3 points on 60% shooting and 4.9 rebounds per game. Errico has scored in double figures four times this year and led the team in scoring on two occasions.
