WASHINGTON -Kelley Richardson scored a game-high 24 points to lead Bethany College to a 77-59 victory over Catholic Friday night in a non-conference game at the DuFour Center.
Richardson scored 14 of her 24 points in the first half to help the Bison to its fourth straight win.
Catholic's Carol Schnepp netted a season-high 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting. The senior added seven rebounds and two blocks.
Bethany broke open a 10-6 lead early in the first half by going on a 15-3 run.
But the Cardinals (3-4) responded as freshman Gloria Schnepp's three-point play with just over five minutes in the period cut the Bison lead to six at 31-25. Schnepp finished with seven points and six rebounds.
The Bison (10-2) built a 10-point lead at the break at 43-33
In the second half, Bethany led by as much as 22 points as the Bison's Kiki Cohen connected on three of her five three-pointers on a 11-0 run midway through the stanza. Cohen finished with 15 points and added six assists and five steals.
The Cardinals return to action on Sunday as they host Stockton here at the DuFour Center at noon.
