Assistant Coach Cavanaugh Hagen

Cavanaugh Hagen enters her first season as an assistant coach at Catholic University. Hagen comes to CUA from Canisius College, where she is finishing her degree in psychology.

Hagen played four seasons with the Griffs. During the 2002-'03 season, Hagen played in 24 games and had 14 blocks, including a season-high four blocks against Rider College on January 12, 2003. In the 2004-'05 season, Hagen was part of Canisius' Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference championship team. That team became the first women's team from western New York to reach the NCAA Tournament.

Prior to her stint at Canisius, Hagen was a four-year letter winner at T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, Virginia. She played basketball, soccer, and tennis and was named her soccer team's MVP in 2001.  She was also named to the All-District team for her doubles play in tennis. Hagen is the daughter of George and Barbara Hagen.
