Follow Women's Basketball As They Travel Through Ireland

WASHINGTON-- Countryside, rolling hills, the Blarney Stone, and a bright orange basketball.  How do they fit together?  Well, if you follow the CUA Cardinals women's basketball team during their trip to Ireland you will likely see them all in photographs.

The women's basketball team will be traveling to Belfast and Dublin, Ireland from August 4th through the 12th on both a training and community outreach trip.  The team will hold a clinic during the trip in partnership with Peace for Hope.  This program is designed to affect children who have been impacted by the territorial and faith dispute between Ireland and Northern Ireland.  Learn more about Peace for Hope and their recent recognition on ESPN HERE. Brendan Tuohey, brother of former CUA basketball stand out Sean Tuohey, is the Executive Director of PeacePlayers International.

During the trip the team will also be keeping a live blog via the internet.  The team plans to update the blog daily with pictures and comments about their trip.  To follow the blog please click HERE
