Peterson Scores 26, but CUA Falls to Moravian 82-63 on Senior Night

WASHINGTON--
Brianna Peterson scored 26 points tonight, but CUA (12-12, 4-9 LC) fell to Moravian (22-1, 13-0 LC) 82-63 in Landmark Conference action.

Mary McGann scored 10 points to join Peterson in double figures, while Kate Robinson, who was honored prior to the game, scored seven points and grabbed three rebounds.

The Greyhounds had five players in double figures, led by Amanda Brown who finished with 17, including three triples.

Kate Robinson gave the Cardinals their only lead of the game when she opened the scoring with a triple, but Moravian quickly grabbed the lead and never gave it back. At the break CUA trailed by 12.

In the second half it was more of the same, as the Greyhounds expanded the lead to as many as 24.

CUA shot just 36.4% from the field and allowed Moravian to score 25 points off turnovers.

The Cardinals will wrap up the 2009-10 regular season on the road at Goucher on Saturday. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
