Brielle Crites is in her second season with the Catholic University women’s basketball coaching staff, but Crites is no stranger to the Lady Cardinals. A 2012 graduate of CUA, Crites brings a strong basketball knowledge and high basketball IQ to the Cardinals' sideline. The Collingswood, N.J. native earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Catholic University, where she was a two-year captain and four-year member of the women’s basketball program, while making multiple appearances on the Landmark Conference All-Academic Team.
Crites has been a key component to the success of CUA’s women’s basketball program during the past two seasons, providing great leadership, defensive intensity, and a keen understanding of the game. During her tenure at Catholic University, the Lady Cardinals witnessed the most successful season in the history of the program when they captured the 2011-12 Landmark Conference Championship.
During Crites' four years with the program, CUA set a new school record for single season wins with 22, posted their best single season record in Landmark Conference play at 11-3, and became the first school in the history of the Landmark Conference to win a conference playoff game and a conference championship game on the road. Additionally, CUA’s 41 wins over the past two seasons ties the mark for the most over a two-year period in program history.
Crites will assist in all aspects of the program including player development, practice and game planning, coordination of the team’s strength and conditioning program, and recruiting and scouting activities.
