Donohue Named Catholic University Women’s Basketball Coach
The Catholic University of America introduced Matthew Donohue as the new head women’s basketball coach Wednesday. Donohue takes over for Margaret Carey who recently left CUA to take a coaching position at her alma mater, Mount Saint Mary’s University. Donohue comes to CUA from Elmira College where he has been the head women’s basketball coach and sports information director since 2003. [MORE]

Landmark Announces Winter All-Academic Team
The Landmark Conference has announced that 32 student-athletes have been honored with selection to the 2007-08 Winter Landmark All-Academic Team. Two male and two female athletes from each of the eight Landmark institutions were selected for the team which honors athletes who have excelled athletically and academically. [MORE]

Peterson Named Second Team All-Landmark
The Catholic University of America freshman Brianna Peterson (Garnerville, N.Y./North Rockland) was named to the Landmark Conference women’s basketball second team the league announced Monday. Peterson was one of four freshmen that received recognition among the 12 honorees. [MORE]

Cards Finish Season with a 72-61 Victory
The Catholic University basketball squad concluded its season with a 72-61 win over the Goucher Gophers (7-17, 2-12 Landmark) in both teams’ final conference game. The Cardinals finish the season 10-15 overall and 5-9 in their first season in the Landmark Conference. [MORE]
