Brophy named Landmark Conference Player of the Week
WASHINGTON – Lindsay Brophy was named the Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, marking the third straight week and fourth week overall that a Cardinal has been honored this season. Brophy accounted for 10 points in leading CUA to a pair of wins last week.
Brophy started her week off with one goal, two assists, and one ground ball in a 19-7 win over Haverford on April 3.
Two days later, Brophy exploded for a goal, three assists, seven ground balls, five draw controls and two caused turnovers in an 18-10 win over conference foe Goucher.
For the season, the freshman has started in five games and totaled eight goals, nine assists, 22 ground balls, seven draw controls and four caused turnovers.
Brophy and the Cardinals get back to work on Wednesday afternoon when they host No. 4 Gettysburg College inside Cardinal Stadium. The opening draw is set for 4:30 p.m.
