Brophy earns second straight Landmark Off. Player of the Week award
WASHINGTON – For the second consecutive week, Lindsay Brophy has been named the Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced on Monday. Brophy led CUA with 11 goals and 13 points in two games last week.
Brophy got her week started with four goals, an assist, a ground ball and draw control at Mary Washington on Tuesday afternoon.
The sophomore then exploded for seven goals and eight points, to go along with six ground balls, four draw controls and a caused turnover as the Cardinals opened Landmark Conference play with a wild, 17-16 win over Scranton on Thursday.
Brophy leads CUA in nearly every statistical category this season, including goals (31), assists (10), points (41), ground balls (32) and draw controls (30).
Brophy and the Cardinals are back in action on Tuesday evening when they play host to St. Mary's inside Cardinal Stadium. Start time is set for 6 p.m.
