DiBartolomeo receives first Landmark Player of the Week honor
WASHINGTON – Caroline DiBartolomeo was named the Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. The CUA sophomore scored seven goals and handed out one assist in two games for the No. 10 Cardinals last week. This is DiBartolomeo's first weekly award from the conference.
DiBartolomeo got her week started with a four-goal performance on Tuesday, in CUA's 15-7 season opening win against Frostburg State. She also totaled four ground balls, two caused turnovers and a draw control in rainy and windy conditions.
On Saturday, DiBartolomeo netted a hat trick and dished out an assist in CUA's contest vs. No. 2 Salisbury. The native of New Jersey also picked up four ground balls and won three draw controls.
DiBartolomeo and the Cardinals are currently in South Carolina where they will be taking part in a Habitat for Humanity project.
CUA returns to action on Wednesday, March 13 when it heads to Pa., to face York. The opening draw is set for 4 p.m.
