Full Landmark Release

WASHINGTON - Jenna Van Middelem and Caroline DiBartolomeo were tabbed the Landmark Conference Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week after the Cardinals went 2-0 and clinched a playoff spot.

Van Middelem scored seven goals and handed out three assists for the Cardinals, to take hold of first place in the Landmark at 4-0. The freshman attacker had four goals and scooped up four ground balls in a 21-6 win over Goucher. She also added a draw control and one caused turnover in the win.

In Saturday's battle for first, the rookie had another hat trick on three goals and assisted on three others for six points. She recorded one ground ball, a draw control, and a caused turnover during the 22-11 win at Susquehanna.

DiBartolomeo was assigned the duty of guarding the league's top goal scorer, Emma Ehler on Saturday at Susquehanna. DiBartolomeo stepped up to the challenge, as Ehler, who averages over four goals per game, scored just twice, both on free positions.

Additionally, DiBartolomeo secured five draw controls and had three ground balls to go with a caused turnover. The Cherry Hill, N.J. native proved she is more than just a lockdown defender, scoring two goals in each game.
