WASHINGTON - The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association announced its All-Region teams and three Cardinals were honored as top players in the Chesapeake Region.
This marks DiBartolmeo's second All-Region selection after being named Second Team a year ago. The junior defender recorded 36 ground balls and 29 caused turnovers with 20 draw controls. She was named First Team All-Landmark and added 15 goals and 4 assists for 19 points this season.
After missing the 2013 season, Neill burst back onto the scene for CUA, leading the squad with 35 caused turnovers and was second on the team with 46 ground balls. A defensive standout, she added 20 draw controls and four assists. Her only score of the season was the game-winning goal against Mary Washington in a 14-13 come from behind victory.
The 2014 Landmark Rookie of the Year, Schmitzer is adding to her postseason accolades with a Second Team All-Region selection after also being named First Team All-Landmark. Schmitzer scored a goal in all but four games for CUA, with five hat tricks. She had a career-high five goals against Drew and collected nine ground balls in the semifinal contest against Scranton.
