The women's lacrosse team enters its fifth season with high expectations. Coming off a rather disappointing 2000-2001 season, the Cardinals have refocused and made new goals which seek to utilize every member of the team.
With veteran talent in players such as Kate Abbonizio, Chrissy Donahue, Ann Lawall, and Amanda Lewis the team is assured of having the finest leadership. In addition, the defensive unit includes junior Colleen Boland, sophomore Molly Coyle and goalie Kat McGlone.
Anna Gateau, Megan Hartnett, Maureen O'Hara, Edie Sneeringer and Jennifer Utz will be counted on for their experience in the midfield. On the attacking end, Liz Wallace and Colleen Finnerty will round out a talented unit. Having 10 newcomers adds a refreshing dynamic to the team.
Every member of the team stands to play a significant role. Despite this year's schedule being the program's most competitive to date, coaching staff and players alike feel confident and excited about entering the 2002 season.
