Robinson, Taltavull Named Players of the Week
WASHINGTON- CUA women's lacrosse players Kate Robinson and Caroline Taltavull have been named Landmark Conference Players of the Week for their outstanding performances in last week's games against Marymount and Goucher.
Robinson was a fantastic spark for the Cards offensive attack throughout the course of the week. The junior first tallied six goals and two assists in CUA's win over non-conference opponent Marymount. Robinson then poured in five goals and two assists against conference rival Goucher College. The midfielder recorded a total of 15 points, 12 draw controls, 11 caused turnovers and six ground balls in the Cards' 2-0 week.
Taltavull was a huge defensive force for the Cards, as the team extended their winning streak to 11. The sophomore earned a pair of caused turnovers, six ground balls, and three draw controls in CUA's win over Goucher. Earlier that week, she chipped in five ground balls, five draw controls, and two caused turnovers in the win against Marymount. Taltavull also added two goals in each game.
The women's lax team returns to action on Saturday, April 18th for a 1 p.m., home game against conference rival Scranton University.
