WASHINGTON-- Seventy-seven goals, 121 points, 45 caused turnovers, 44 assists, finishing fourth in the nation in points, and what does all of this lead to?  The first CUA women's lacrosse first team All-American in program history.

Kate Robinson (Emmitsburg, Md./Catoctin) did all that and more.  She also became the first multiple time All-American in program history.  Following in the footsteps of Kristin Ambrosetti, honorable mention in 2000, and Christine Thornton, third team in 2005, Robinson was named to the third team a season ago, and broke out in 2009 becoming the first multi-year All-American in CUA women's lacrosse history.  As a junior she will also return in 2010 for a chance at a third straight year.

Earlier this month, Robinson and Mary Swarthout (Rockville, Md./Our Lady of Good Counsel) were named to the womenslacrosse.com All-American team.  Robinson earned not only first team All-American honors, but was also named the Midfield Player of the Year for Division III.  Swarthout earned both third team All-American honors and was named to the All-Rookie Team.
