Brashear to Represent CUA at Senior All-Star Game


WASHINGTON- Senior goalie Melissa Brashear has been chosen by the IWLCA to compete in the North-South Senior All-Star game on Saturday, June 12.

Brashear was among 41 student athletes from across the region chosen to compete at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, Pa., at 2 p.m. The only other CUA athlete chosen to participate in the Senior All-Star game was Marcy Cuneo in 2008.

Brashear will be playing goalie for the North team, which features athletes from 14 schools around the region. This year, the she earned 2nd Team All-Conference and 2nd Team All-IWLCA Chesapeake Region honors. Brashear finished her senior campaign with 146 saves and a save percentage of .477.
