Women's lacrosse receives academic recognition
WASHINGTON – For the fourth consecutive year the CUA
women’s lacrosse team has been honored as an IWLCA Academic
Squad, it was recently announced. In order to receive the
honor teams must have a team grade point average of at least
3.0.
The Cardinals were one of 64 Division III institutions nationwide
to receive the honor, and one of only 13 schools to be named to the
Academic Squad and also compete in the NCAA Tournament.
During the 2010 season CUA won its third consecutive Landmark
Conference championship and advanced to its third straight NCAA
Tournament. The Cardinals finished the season strong, winning
12 of their final 14 games as well as an NCAA Tournament game for
the third straight season. Nine players received
All-Conference honors, while four were named All-Region and two
earned All-America distinction.
