Former Cardinals standout Meghan Murray is in her first season
as an assistant coach with the program. Murray was a
three-time First Team All-Landmark Conference selection during her
undergrad days, and started every single game of her career.
Murray served as a captain and started all 22 games for CUA last
season, helping the Cardinals reach their third NCAA Regional Final
in the last five years. The Maryland native scooped up 44
ground balls and caused 21 turnovers as CUA won its fifth
consecutive Landmark Conference crown.
As a junior, Murray collected 26 ground balls and caused 13
turnovers, while starting all 19 games. CUA advanced to the
second round of the NCAA Tournament and completed its third
unbeaten Landmark Conference regular season in four years.
Murray picked up 40 ground balls and caused 21 turnovers as a
sophomore, helping to lead the Cards to 13 wins, a conference title
and a win in the NCAA Tournament.
After graduating from Catholic University in 2012, Murray is
currently a nurse at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Md.
