WASHINGTON – The CUA women’s soccer team has been recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) for its academic performance in the 2011-12 academic year.  The squad earned a 3.29 grade point average under Head Coach JP Sousa to receive the award.

After a slow start to the 2012 season, CUA regrouped nicely and earned its fifth Landmark Conference Tournament berth.  The Cardinals placed five student-athletes on the All-Conference Teams, including three on the First Team.

CUA loses a strong senior class of 11 for next season, but will return 19 student-athletes.
