Cardinals fall to Eagles in regular season finale Nov. 1, 2002

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Mary Washington defeated Catholic 2-0 in a Capital Athletic Conference match.

The Cardinals finish the regular season at 12-4 and 4-3 in the CAC. The Eagles (12-4-1, 6-1 CAC) scored twice with less than five minutes remaining in regulation as CUA has lost just twice in the last 10 games.

Senior goalie Megan Baroody (Alexandria, Va./T.C. Williams) recorded nine saves.

With a 4-3 conference record, Catholic notched the fourth seed and will play York, the fifth seed, in a first round CAC Tournament game on Sunday, Nov. 3, in York, Pa. at 2:30 p.m. Catholic will play as the home team.
