CUA Women's Soccer Earns Team Academic Award

WASHINGTON (Dec. 13, 2004) --  For the first time in team history, the Catholic University women's soccer team has been named as a recipient of the 2004 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award, based on success in the classroom.

Throughout the country,  a total of 363 intercollegiate soccer programs (73 men, 290 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2003-04 academic year, thereby earning the NSCAA/Adidas Team Academic Award.

The Catholic University women's team posted a grade point average of 3.24 for the 2003-04 academic year.
