WASHINGTON - Catholic University junior forward Suzie Peters (Nanuet, N.Y./Albertus Magnus) has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District women's soccer third team excelling both athletically and academically this past season.

Peters is currently leading the Cardinals' women's soccer team in goals and points with 11 tallied goals, one assist and 23 points. In her three seasons with the Cardinals she started 39 of 41 games netting 28 goals with 4 assists, and led the team in scoring as a sophomore in 2006. In her first season she was dubbed Capital Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year making an immediate impact on the team as a freshman.

Peters along with four other teammates were recently named Landmark all-conference players. This her third time being voted all-conference in as many years. Earlier this season Peters was named to the Team of the Week after scoring three goals in the D.C. Classic and being named to the all-tourney team.  She was also named to the SWAT Kick Classic All-Tournament squad.

Peters embodies Catholic University women's soccer as a dedicated student-athlete, who is not only a prolific scorer, but maintains a 3.72 GPA. The junior education major now anxiously waits along with the rest of the Cardinals to see if they receive an invitation in the East Coast Athletic Conference post season tournament.
