Donnelly Named CUA's First Landmark Athlete of the Week
Freshman was named to the DC Classic All-Tournament team

WASHINGTON - Catholic University freshman women's soccer player Kelly Donnelly (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) has been named the Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Week.  Donnelly earns her first conference honor as well as the athletic department's first athlete of the week in the newly formed Landmark Conference.

Donnelly had an outstanding weekend for the Cardinals who won the D.C. Classic.  In Saturday's 6-0 win over Ferrum she had a goal and an assist.  On Sunday in the championship game she posted two goals including one run down the middle of the field that ended with a fake to get by the goalkeeper.  For her efforts Donnelly was named to the all-tournament team.  Her seven overall points on the season rank her tied for third overall in the conference.

CUA won the D.C. Classic for the third time in program history.  The squad is 3-1 sitting atop the Landmark Conference.  The team has the week off and will face Cabrini on Saturday at Cardinal Stadium.
