Offense Brings Home Another Win for Women's Soccer

HUNTINGTON, P.A.-Fifteen shots, including nine of them on goal, helped lift CUA to a 2-1 win over Juniata on the road.  This win also marked the opening of Landmark Conference matches.

Kelly Donnely (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) led the offensive attack with five shots, and the game winning goal which came in the 53rd minute of play.  Maggie McCarthy (Portsmouth, R.I./Portsmouth Abbey) opened the scoring for the Cardinals with a goal less than three minutes into the contest.  Elyse Bellardini (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) added an assist on McCarthy's goal.

Defensively for the Cardinals, Tere Rossi (Annandale, Va./Falls Church) made three saves on 12 total shots, all in the second half. 

CUA will return to action on Wednesday, October 8 at 4:30 p.m. as the Cardinals will welcome York College (Pa.) to Washington, D.C.
