Kelly Grant is in her third season with the coaching staff at
Catholic University where she will continue to assist Coach Sousa
with the day-to-day operations of the program. Grant came to
CUA after completing a successful four-year playing career at
Division I Stony Brook University. She proudly wore the
Seawolves uniform from 2006 to 2009, appearing in 28 games as a
defender and scoring three goals from her position on the
backline. Grant helped her team finish in second place and
reach the America East Conference championship game during her
junior season. As a senior captain, she lead SBU back to the
America East Conference semifinals.
Along with coaching at CUA, Grant has been very involved with the
US Youth Soccer Region 1 Olympic Development Program. She has
served as an Assistant Coach in Training at the ODP Camp in Rhode
Island the past three summers, as well as at a Player Development
Camp in California in February 2011, and at Inter-Regional Events
in Florida in November 2010 and in Las Vegas in February
2012. She also had the priviledge of working as a program
administrator at the USSF U14 National Camp in Portland, Oregon in
July 2010.
Grant graduated from Stony Brook University in 2010 with a
bachelor’s degree in health science and technology.
Originally from Fairfax, Va., where she graduated from Paul VI
Catholic High School in 2006, she now lives in Washington, D.C.
