CUA enjoys annual spring break trip to Hilton Head

WASHINGTON – During CUA's spring break in early March, the Cardinal women's tennis team packed its bags and headed for sunny Hilton Head, S.C.  CUA enjoyed one week of no classes, bonding with coaches and teammates, and plenty of tennis.

The Cardinals faced some of their stiffest competition of the year while in South Carolina, falling to unbeaten Westminster 5-4 and to Division II Chestnut Hill 6-3.

The preparation has seemed to pay off, with CUA easily winning its Landmark Conference opening match on March 17 vs. Susquehanna by a score of 7-2.

Head Coach Dana Dowd and the Cardinals still have five matches left this season, beginning with a March 31 showdown vs. Moravian in Washington.  Start time is set for 1 p.m.

CUA has its sights set firmly on a second straight appearance in the conference tournament, which takes place at the end of April.
