Sceusa named Landmark Conference Player of the Week

WASHINGTON – After helping CUA to its first-ever win over Moravian on Saturday, Elaina Sceusa was named the Landmark Conference Player of the Week on Monday. This is the second time in 2013 that a Cardinal has won a weekly award, after Ritamarie Holden was honored on March 11.

Sceusa won the 4th singles point vs. the Greyhounds, downing Brittany Hodge 6-2, 6-2. She then teamed up with Isabel Tanco to claim the 3rd doubles point, 8-3.

For the season, Sceusa is 3-1 in singles action, and 5-1 in doubles competition.

Sceusa and the Cardinals are back in action on Tuesday afternoon when they host conference foe Susquehanna. Start time is slated for 1:30 p.m.
