Landmark Conference names Holden Player of the Week

WASHINGTON – A 6-0 performance during last week's spring break trip to South Carolina has earned Ritamarie Holden the Landmark Conference Player of the Week award, it was announced on Monday. Holden helped the Cardinals post a 3-1 record last week while in Hilton Head.

On March 4, Holden helped lead CUA to an 8-1 victory against Adrian, with a 6-4, 6-2 victory at the 2nd singles flight. She also picked up an 8-2 win at 2nd doubles, teaming up with Caitlin Porter for the W.

One day later, Holden was victorious 6-1, 6-3 at 2nd singles in an 8-1 Cards win against St. Vincent. The senior again teamed up with Porter to capture an 8-3 victory in doubles play.

Holden then closed out her time in the south with a 6-0, 6-4 win at 3rd singles in CUA's match vs. a 16-1 Westminster squad. Holden and Porter teamed up for an 8-6 victory this time around at the 2nd doubles flight.

Holden and the Cards return to action on Friday, March 15 when they travel to face Harford Community College. Start time is set for 3:30 p.m.
