Women’s Tennis Improves to a Perfect 5-0 Record

WASHINGTON — The Catholic University of America tennis team swept past D.C. foe, Trinity on Tuesday as the Cardinals won all nine of their matches and dropped just two points on the afternoon. Catholic is now a perfect 5-0 with three road victories to start the 2017-18 season.

Junior Lisa Genadry stepped up in the No. 1 spot for the Cards and won the top singles match, 6-0, 6-0. She also teamed with freshman Colleen McLaughlin to win at No. 1 doubles match, 8-1.

Rookie Grace Connell was strong at No. 2 as she swept her singles match. Connell and classmate Lauren Edwards also combined for an 8-0 win in the second doubles contest.

Catholic next match is set for Saturday, September 30 at York.
