CUA WOMEN'S TENNIS DEFEATS U. OF D.C.

WASHINGTON-- CUA swept the doubles matches and won four of the six singles matches to defeat the University of D.C. on Thursday.

CUA (6-1) earned the victory with solid wins by #1 doubles tandem Stephanie Kennedy and Rachel Tenuta (8-2); #2 doubles Caitlin Dunn and Sarah Taylor (8-0), and #3 doubles Sarah Luffy and Kristin Nordlund (8-0).

In the singles matches, #2 Emily McGlyn defeated Amdalat Koletouso in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 and #3 Taylor defeated UDC's Robin Williams 6-0, 6-0. Luffy, competing in #4 singles, defeated Eniola Bakare 6-1, 6-0 and #6 Nordlund defeated UDC's Jennifer Jones in straight sets 6-0, 6-0.

CUA returns to action on March 18 at the College of Notre Dame in Maryland before returning for a March 25 home match against St. Mary's.
