Cards Fall to Sea Gulls in CAC Semi's


SALISBURY, Md.- The Catholic University women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to the Salisbury Sea Gulls (12-7) Friday afternoon in Maryland.  With the loss the Cards were eliminated from the Capital Athletic Conference tournament they finish the season 12-7.

Mary Wargo was the lone winner for the Cardinals defeating Kelly Fahrner in a comeback win 2-6, 6-1, 6-2.  Emily McGlynn played at close match at number two singles winning one set 4-6 but falling in the first and third.  In doubles play Rachel Tenuta and Leia DiCocco lost 8-4 a the number one position.

The Cards will return all but one player next season.  DiCocco, typically number three in the lineup, will graduate in May.
