Landmark Conference announces women's tennis preseason poll
WASHINGTON – The Landmark Conference announced its annual
women’s tennis preseason poll on Tuesday and CUA was tabbed
sixth with 19 points. Head coaches and sports information
directors from each conference institution that sponsors
women’s tennis vote in the poll.
Defending league champion Drew was selected first in the poll with 60 points, with Moravian next in line with 46 points and Scranton third with 45 points.
Coming in fourth in the poll was Susquehanna with 41 points and Juniata was fifth with 25 points. CUA came in sixth with 19 points and Goucher rounded out the poll with 16 points.
CUA is currently 8-3 during the 2010-11 academic year, having played three matches during the spring semester.
The Cardinals are currently in South Carolina on spring break and will be back in action on Tuesday when they take on Ohio Wesleyan at 12:30 p.m.
