Landmark Conference honors Carioto with weekly award

WASHINGTON – After taking first place in the shot put at the Bow Tie Classic over the weekend, Kelly Carioto was named the Landmark Conference Female Field Athlete of the Week on Monday.  This marks the third time Carioto has earned this honor in her career.

Carioto, a senior, posted a throw of 12.07 meters to earn first place on Saturday on the campus of Ursinus College.  Carioto and the Cardinals finished 12th in the 19-school invitational, competing against a strong field of competitors.

Carioto and the Cardinals are now off for the next month, before returning to action on Saturday, January 21 at the Collegeville Classic.
