CUA honored by USTFCCCA, Carioto named All-Academic honoree
WASHINGTON – The CUA women’s track and field team
was recently honored by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country
Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as a 2012 Division III Track and
Field All-Academic Team. The Cardinals were one of 137
institutions from across the country to achieve a team cumulative
GPA of 3.10 or better.

In addition to CUA’s team award, recently graduated Kelly
Carioto was named an All-Academic Honoree by the USTFCCCA.
Carioto was one of 340 student-athletes across Division III to be
honored after achieving a GPA of at least 3.30 and ranking in the
national top-35 in an individual event.
Carioto earned Academic All-America honors earlier this summer
from CoSIDA, which followed a terrific performance at the Landmark
Conference outdoor championships, where she captured two titles and
was named the Field Athleye of the Meet.
