Cardinals get weekend started at Widener Field Meet

CHESTER, Pa. – CUA sent five student-athletes to the Widener Field Meet on Friday evening.  Mary Clark, Kerri Hanley, Kalia DeFalco and Christine Fontaine competed in the field events, while Laura Kinley was the lone track athlete representing the Cardinals.

Mary Clark placed fourth in the shot put, with a throw of 33'8", while Kerri Hanely (30'4"), Kalia DeFalco (26'4") and Christine Fontaine (23'4") finished 13th, 19th and 21st, respectively.

Clark then placed fifth in the weight throw, with a toss of 42' ¾", while Hanley (16th), DeFalco (17th) and Fontaine (19th) posted top-20 finishes.

Laura Kinley, the reigning Landmark Conference Female Track Athlete of the Week, completed the mile in a time of 5:27.84.  Kinley won the mile and the 800 meters last weekend at the Lebanon Valley Invitational.

On Saturday, CUA heads to the Du Charme Invitational, which will be held on the campus of Dickinson University.  Start time is slated for 10 a.m.
