Nine Cardinals named to All-Landmark Conference Teams
WASHINGTON – The Landmark Conference announced its
All-Conference Teams on Wednesday, and CUA had nine
student-athletes honored. The DMR team of Rebecca Radcliffe,
Kristen Rayfield, Maria Docal and Keely Eckberg were joined on the
First Team by the 4 x 800 relay team of Rayfield, Jane Marrinan,
Bridget Krumholz and Laura Kinley. Mary Clark and Megan Ross
received Second Team honors.
CUA’s DMR team raced its way to a gold medal, crossing in a
time of 13:21.05. The 4 x 800 relay team then followed suit and
crossed first in its race with a time of 10:17.56.
Clark earned All-Conference recognition with a 2nd place finish in
the weight throw, tossing 43’ 11.25”.
Ross then earned her spot on the All-Conference Team with a throw
of 37’ 10.5” in the shot put, placing 2nd.
CUA tied for 3rd at the conference championship, totaling 76
points on the day.
The Cardinals will return to action on March 22 when they begin
their outdoor season at the Battleground Relays in Fredericksburg,
Va. Start time is set for 2:30 p.m.
