Three top-five finishers lead Cardinals at Frank Colden Invite
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – CUA competed at the Frank Colden Invite on Saturday on the campus of Ursinus College. The Cardinals totaled 25 points and finished 8th in the 18-school competition. Top individual performers included Laura Kinley and Megan Ross with 4th place finishes, and Keely Eckberg with a 5th place finish.
Five Cardinals finished in the top 25 of the 800 meters, including Kinley in 4th (2:32.42), Jane Marrinan in 10th (2:35.36), Eckberg in 14th (2:38.06), Maria Docal in 18th (2:40.26), and Rebecca Radcliffe in 22nd (2:42.13).
In the mile, Eckberg came in 5th (5:31.58), Kinley finished 7th (5:36.25) and Radcliffe was 12th (5:44.92), while in the 5000 meters, Erin Schlegel finished in 8th place (20:40.13).
In the 200 meters, Bridget Krumholz (28.75) and Hannah Gillis (29.28) placed 18th and 19th, respectively, and Krumholz then finished 16th in the 400 meters (1:04.32).
The 4x400 relay team of Candace Williamson, Krumholz, Marrinan and Docal posted a 3rd place finish in a time of 4:29.39.
In the field events, Ross finished in 4th place in the shot put, with a toss of 35' 1", and Mary Clark came in 9th (34' 1.25").
Georgian Court took the top spot in the team standings with 106.5 points, followed by Stockton (97.5), Lebanon Valley (88), Ursinus (68.5) and Rowan (37).
CUA heads to Selinsgrove, Pa. on Saturday, February 9 for the Susquehanna University Invite. Start time is set for 10 a.m.
