Five Cardinals post wins at Lebanon Valley Indoor Invite
ANNVILLE, Pa. – CUA traveled to the Lebanon Valley College Indoor Invite on Saturday, held at Arnold Arena. The Cardinals had a number of impressive performances on the afternoon, with Bridget Krumholz, Kristen Rayfield, Keely Eckberg, Megan Ross and Mary Clark winning individual events.
Krumholz won the 500 meters in 1:25.45, with Kelsley Broomfield in 3rd (1:30.90), Maria Docal in 6th (1:37.23) and Grace Lally in 8th (1:39.80).
CUA took the top two spots in the 800, with Rayfield crossing first (2:39.94) and Jane Marrinan coming in 2nd (2:41.67).
Eckberg won the 3000 meters, crossing in 11:02.22, and she finished 4th in the mile, posting a time of 5:35.81.
Rebecca Radcliffe finished 3rd in the 3000 meters (11:25.30), with Erin Schlegel in 6th (11:56.42), and Cristina Butrico in 8th (12:10.95).
Grace Weaver crossed in 4th place in the 55 meter final, finishing in 7.97 seconds, while Maria Dextra Cercos was 3rd in the 55 meter hurdles (9.80), followed by Hannah Gillis in 4th (10.21) and Kaila DeFalco in 6th (10.78).
In the field events, Weaver placed 2nd in the long jump with a leap of 15' 6", while Gillis was 3rd (15' 2.75").
Ross won the shot put with a toss of 37' 3", and Clark took first in the weight throw with a throw of 41' 3.75".
Ross was 4th in the weight throw (35' 11.25") and Clark came in 5th in the shot put (34' 1.5").
Candace Williamson (30' 2.25") and Kim Ryan (30') finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively, in the triple jump
CUA is back in action on Friday, February 1 when the Cardinals travel to the Widener Field Meet. Start time is set for 4 p.m.
