Cardinals open weekend at Widener Field Meet

CHESTER, Pa. – CUA sent a small contingent of student-athletes to the Widener Field Meet on Friday afternoon. Grace Weaver and Mary Clark both posted first place finishes to lead the Cardinals, with Weaver winning two events.

Weaver won the high jump with a leap of 4’ 9.75” and the long jump with a mark of 15’ 9”.  Hannah Gillis came in second in the long jump, posting a mark of 15’ 4.25”.

Clark took first in the weight throw, with a toss of 43’ 3”, with Megan Ross placing sixth (35’ 3.75”) and Kaila DeFalco coming in 11th (30’ 7”).

In the shot put, Ross came in sixth place with a toss of 35’ 3.25”, while Clark was eighth (34’ 11.75”) and Kerri Hanley finished 13th (30’ 1”).

On Saturday, the entire CUA team heads to Collegeville, Pa. to take part in the Frank Colden Invite on the campus of Ursinus College.
