Clark Earns First Career Landmark Player of the Week
WASHINGTON - Junior thrower Mary Clark was named the Landmark Conference Player of the Week for indoor track & field, marking the first time in her career that she has earned the honor.
Clark broke a school record in the weight throw this weekend at the Crusader Indoor Classic. The junior finished with a throw of 14.20 meters to place fourth overall and second amongst Division III competition at the meet. The mark ranks first in the Landmark this season and is tied for eighth all-time. Clark also placed 14th in the shot put with a throw of 10.56 meters.
The Cardinals return to action when they travel back to Selinsgrove, Pa., for another meet at Susquehanna on Saturday, Feb. 22 in the final warm-up meet before the Landmark Indoor Championships.
