WASHINGTON - The Catholic University women's track & field team had six student-athletes named to the All-Landmark teams after finishing fourth at the conference championship this past weekend.
Mary Clark headlined the honorees as she was named the Field Co-Athlete of the Year following the conclusion of the championship on Sunday. Clark has earned back-to-back awards from the indoor season. She won the hammer throw for the second year in a row and added third place finishes in the shot put and discus while finishing fourth in the javelin.
Clark was named First Team All-Landmark for taking home first place in the hammer throw.
Joining her on the First Team was freshman Mary Paige Nesfeder who earned the top finish in the discus with a 33.70 meter throw in the event.
In the 4x400 meter relay, Danielle Caruccio, Maria Dextra Cercos, Bridget Krumholz, and Jane Marrinan teamed up for second place with a time of 4:12.13. With the finish, the foursome earned Second Team All-Landmark laurels.
Cercos added another Second Team award to her resume by finishing second in the 400 Meter hurdles with a time of 1:09.77.
