Caruccio Earns First Landmark Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week

WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America women's track & field team enjoyed a strong start to its 2017 outdoor season and the Landmark Conference took notice as they selected senior sprinter Danielle Caruccio as the Women's Track Athlete of the Week.

Caruccio showed her speed at the Mary Washington Opener as she took second overall in the 400-meter dash as she crossed the finish line in 1:01.10. She also added a fifth-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.32.

It is the second honor Caruccio has garnered this year as she grabbed the distinction during the indoor season on January, 23.
